L’art en vitrine le centro

Conception, ideation & storytelling / Graphic Design

Just like an outdoor art gallery, “L’art en vitrine le centro” is a temporary art exhibit that transforms vacant downtown Sherbrooke storefronts into an urban art journey. Works from dozens of local contemporary artists—unveiled in October 2021—brightened the city’s downtown core and gave the public an opportunity to discover unfamiliar artwork. An exciting way of promoting the Eastern Townships’ art scene and helping vacant businesses find new tenants. To attract the attention of passersby, Beauvoir gave the event a trendy visual identity.

As part of this little-known 1st edition of “L’art en vitrine le centro”, Beauvoir designed a powerful and engaging visual signature to promote the event on Sherbrooke’s local scene. We had to stand out in a space that is visually very busy and attract the attention of passersby, while showcasing the artworks—without upstaging them. We presented the visual identity on various communication tools and produced a series of teaser posters—installed in the storefront windows a few weeks prior to the unveiling.
